Security Advisory

Staying alert during COVID-19 pandemic

As the nation battles against COVID-19, cybercriminals have been reportedly using this pandemic as part of their social engineering campaign to deceive the public into revealing personal information, credentials and even requesting for funds.

One of the most used tactics is Phishing, where scammers send messages, impersonating financial institutions or other organisations through emails, SMSes, social messaging platforms (E.g. Facebook, WhatsApp), or phone calls. Phishing attacks may come across as trustworthy and users are tricked into believing the authenticity of the message.

Be careful of and avoid responding to unsolicited emails, SMSes and phone calls.

What can you do to protect yourself?

  • Always access through our official Yongan Singapore website and online platforms – https://yonganinternational.com/or https://yongan.com.sg/
  • Avoid clicking on links or attachments in unsolicited emails and SMSes.
  • If you receive sms/ phone calls purporting to be from Yongan Singapore, do not reply/ call the number provided in the SMS phone calls. Please call our Customer Service hotline at (+65) 6372 9596 / 9521 to verify the authenticity of the request.
  • If you receive email purporting to be from Yongan Singapore, do not reply the email address provided. Please contact our Customer Service hotline at singapore@yafco.com to verify the authenticity of the request.
